| FIDE Chess World Cup 2007 takes place in Khanty-Mansiysk (Russia), November 22 - December 18, 2007.
After 2nd games of round 3, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov AZE) and Bu Xiangzhi (CHN) are free to go home.The young Bulgarian grandmaster Ivan Cheparinov won with white against Mamedyarov and in 2nd game a draw was enough.
Today 12 players will fight for 6 free position of the 1/8 finals. They will join to Cheparinov, Shirov, Adams, Alekseev, Carlsen, Kamsky, Akopian, Jakovenko, Ponomariov and Wang Yue.
