Grenke Chess Open 2018 and Grenke Chess Classic

| Grenke Chess Open 2018 and Grenke Chess Classic will be held from 29 March to 09 April, 2018.
The classic GM tournament starts on 31st of March. The strongest grandmasters in the event are: Magnus Carlsen, Caruana, Anand and Aronian.
Two different venues would be used: Schwarzwaldhallte Karlsruhe (Round 1 to 3), Kulturhaus LA8 Baden-Baden (Round 4 to 9).
More than 1500 chess players confirmed their participation in the Open section, with the top rated: Etienne Bacrot (France), Richard Rapport (Hungary), Wang Hao (China), Rustam Kasimdzhanov (Uzbekistan).
