MTel Masters 2008 - Ivanchuk with 100%
Vassily Ivanchuk won his third game in MTel Masters 2008. Ukrainian defeated Bu Xiandzhi with white in Reti Opening and had 100% success. Bu is at the other side - we can define his game today as "Total opening disaster". In "Bulgarian game" Veselin Topalov (black) won against his WCC Second Ivan Cheparinov.
In Anti-Meran Gambit Teimur Radjabov and Levon Aronian had finished their game on a draw.

MTel Masters 2008 - Ivanchuk is the sole leader after round II
Vassily Ivanchuk (UKR) beats Bulgarian Veselin Topalov in second round of MTel Masters 2008. The game was played in French opening, Steinitz-Boleslavsky variant and took 43 moves.The other two games in this round were drown:
Bu Xiangzhi and Tejmour Radjabov sign a completely King vs. King draw in just a 45-moves Anglo-Indian English opening. They both lost their first round games yesterday.
Levon Aronian and Ivan Cheparinov ended their Slav Defence game in a 46-moves game.
After this round Ukrainian GM Ivanchuk take the sole lead with 2/2 points.

MTel Masters 2008 - Three clear wins in round 1, schedule round 2
GM Vassily Ivanchuk, GM Veselin Topalov and GM Ivan Cheparinov won their first games in this year MTel Masters super chess tournament.
Ivanchuk (UKR) was very strong with black pieces today and won in Queen Indian - Nimzovich variation against Tejmur Radjabov (AZE).
Veselin Topalov (BUL) defeated Levon Aronian (ARM) after an effect rook sacrifice on move 36. The game was played in Catalan 3. ... c5 4. Kf3. opening.
In the last game today, the other Bulgarian at this tournament - GM Ivan Cheparinov also won his game against Chinese GM Bu Xiangzhi. It was Sicilian - Najdorf variation game with very good tactic for Cheparinov.

Dos Hermanas - Sammour-Hasbun wins again
Sammour-Hasbun, 28, who lives in Massachusetts, the only untitled player among the seven-strong grandmasters in the eight-player final, yet defied the odds again to win the title and $3,000+ first prize in the strongest internet chess tournament - Internet Chess Club's annual Dos Hermanas.
En route to the title, he beat IM Anton Kovalyov, GM Timur Gareev, GM Jobava Baadur and GM Dmitry Kononenko, before defeating his good friend, GM Ronen Har-Zvi, by a score of 4-1, to take the top prize and online blitz bragging rights for the two years running.
