Tal Memorial Tournament - Kramnik is in his best
Former world champion Vladimir Kramnik won Tal Memorial 2007 tournament after his victory in 8-th round against Shakhriar Mamedyarov. Round before the finish Russian grandmaster has 1,5 points over the second - Aleksey Shirov and take the sole lead. Mamedyarov had tried an unusual chess opening with black bishop fiancceto in answer of an 1. d4, but this was not enought according Vladimir's experiance.

Tal Memorial (after round 7)
American grandmaster Gata Kamsky and Spanish one Aleksei Shirov both beat their opponents in round 7 of Tal Memorial 2007. All other games were finished on a draw.
After this round the leader in tournament is former world champion - Russian grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik followed by Aleksey Shirov and young rising star from Norway - Magnus Carlsen.
