The Chigorin Memorial 2007, St. Petersburg, Russia

Church of the Savior of BloodThe Chigorin Memorial takes place in Russian city of St. Pitersburg between 29th of November and 9th of December 2007. The tournament has a long history, and the organizers do their best to provide the most attractive conditions to chess players. The prize fund of the event has been increased considerably. It has ran up to 1500000 Russian rubles (about 43000 ).
An event of such a level is always a great source of experience for young players. Peter Svidler, Alexander Morozevich, Alexander Grischuk and Evgeny Alekseev played there at their rise.
The program includes grandmaster (a stage of the Russian Cup - ELO 2400+), master, blitz and rapid chess tournaments.
