Another chess event will take place after this tournament - the World Blitz Championship 2007. This will be the first battle between current World chess champion Viswanathan Anand and the former Vladimir Kramnik after WCC Mexico 2007. They will play World chess championship match (classic chess) next year - WCC 2008. More information soon.

Tal Memorial Tournament 2007 will take place in Russian capital city - Moscow, November 9-19, 2007. Average rating of the tournament is 2742 (category 20). (The approximate average rating, but much more interesting tournament will take place in Hoogeveen (NED) - Corus 2008. But this is next year...)

The number 2 in the FIDE rating list - Vassily Ivanchuk, the former world champion Vladimir Kramnik (who will play World chess championship match against Anand in 2008), Peter Leko, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Shirov, Gelfand, Kamsky, Alekseev, Carlsen and Jakovenko in a battle.
