Mamedyarov wins the Essent 2007 tournament in Hoogeveen

The Essent 2007 chess tournament took place in Hoogeveen (Netherland), October 12-20, 2007.

Shakhriyar Mamedyarov won the first place with 4,5 points from 6 games. The Ukrainian Ruslan Ponomariov took the 2nd place with 4 points. Loek Van Wely was 3rd with 3,5 points and last place took Zaven Andriasian with 0 points!

In the open tournament IM Eltaj Safarli took the 1st place with 7 points from 9 games. More info...
